Proper Nutrition products are dietary supplements – defined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as products intended for ingestion that contain a “dietary ingredient” supplement the diet. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements; supplements are regulated like foods and do not require the FDA’s approval of safety and efficacy prior to sale.

The statements contained in the website have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Although Seacure® is considered a dietary supplement, you might also think of it as a “whole-food” product because it is made from fish fillets, just like you’d buy at the supermarket. Therefore, Seacure® is whole food protein concentrate made from white fish that provides bioactive peptides, biogenic amines, omega-3 fatty acids, and valuable minerals. Proper Nutrition’s patent-pending process gently breaks down the fish protein into amino acids (the building blocks of protein) and peptides (several amino acids bound together but not enough to be a protein).

Yes – and it is completely normal.

Yes. Depending on the season and the temperature of the water, the color of the powder may vary.

Either. The protein is already pre-digested for the body, so it can be absorbed with or without food.

Suggested use for adults is to take 6 (six) capsules daily or as directed by a health care professional. You may take all 6 capsules at once, or you may take them throughout the day, or at meals.

Colostrum 70/40% is a bovine colostrum, which contains 70% protein and 40% IgG. It provides growth factors and immune factors, which are essential for building lean muscles and enhancing performance.  It also supports the intestinal tract by coating it with a mucous-like barrier.

Regarding colostrum, there are good manufacturing procedures (GMPs) and a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point system (HAACP program) in place for all of our collection dairies. HAACP is a process control system that identifies where hazards might occur during food production, and puts into place stringent actions to take to prevent the hazards from occurring. All colostrum must be collected and placed into sanitized single use containers and immediately transferred to a freezer to maintain product activity and quality. Freezing colostrum at this point does not reduce its dietary benefits and is necessary to reduce the risk of bacterial contamination. The colostrum liquid is thermally treated by our proprietary low-temperature pasteurization process, which has been reviewed and approved by state and federal agencies. Our low-nitrite emission, top-of-the-line spray-dryers have been specifically engineered to dry colostrum with a minimum of heat exposure, thus assuring high activity of vital immune factors.

No. All of our colostrum comes from U.S. dairies that are closely monitored to assure product quality. Pesticide contamination of Grade A dairy cattle feed is tightly regulated in the United States. Pesticide contamination in colostrum from U.S. sources is less of a concern than promoted by importers of foreign colostrum products. The U.S. dairy industry is a model of safety and quality for the rest of the world. Antibiotic usage is also tightly monitored. Beta-lactams are not allowed in the human milk supply in the U.S. Under state law, dairies must demonstrate that our colostrum for the human market is beta-lactam (antibiotic) free.colostrum with a minimum of heat exposure, thus assuring high activity of vital immune factors.
